Home

Ahh, a perk for staying one more year in Korea is that my school provides a round trip ticket to visit home. I was lucky enough to get 17 days of vacation. It wasn't a glamorous visit or what I was picturing it to be, but it was blissful nonetheless. I got to see most of my family and close friends. I wish I could have had more time to see everyone, but that'll just have to wait till December :)
I feel borderline silly because I ended up taking wayyyy more pictures of food, than of people. I had a massive list of things I had to eat and now I can proudly show off what I got to consume! I've missed all this yumminess!

To start off: this adorable letter a student gave me before I left. How could I not come back to Korea!?

"While you stay in America, I will study very much."... Ah, my heart is melting.
" I can see you on February 17th. I love Teacher!"
First meal in America: CHIK-FIL-A! Ohh buddy, you have been wanted ever since I left.
Let's Go Baby Bro!

Yay, Tubs! Say hi to Jin, Han, and Jake for me!
Rudy's BBQ Baked Potato and Cream Corn... Heaven.
Hanging out with my boo boo!
Yup, definitely cried when I said good-bye to her :(
Breakfast at... you guessed it, CHIK-FIL-A!
My amazing shelving skills for our party.
Reunited! I tried to teach her silly Korean poses.
After church, Torchy's Tacos!

Dinner at Downhouse with Clint!
My "kimchi" Burger and fries!
An old school amaretto sour, yum :)
I leave for one year and Wendy's comes out with Frosty's in a WAFFLE CONE! NOT FAIR!
Momma's chile is my favorite!

My favorite Blue Bell ice cream: Birthday Cake!
Lunch with dad: chicken fried steak.
Ice cream with Katie: Fat Cat.
And of course, Whataburger!

I got to surprise my church in New Braunfels during my second Sunday at home. It was soooo much fun to see the surprise on everyone's faces...it was well worth the secret. My favorite quote of the day was from Travis Keirs, when he asked another person:
"Is she real?"
(I was terrible and didn't take any pictures, so I stole some of these!)
Little Miss Caley :)
Wesley snapping a selfie while I was talking to someone else! :D
Yummy Chipotle with the Isbill and Hick families!
Dinner with Heather: Mamacitas! Mmm, tortilla soup and chicken fajita!
Heather and her princess, PJ.
We went to Texas State the next day. The campus looks so beautiful! It was weird walking around there again, but I am so happy where I am now because of it.
Surprising Hema and Frank at the library! Such a nice visit :)
Mary came to visit!!!!
What's a trip to New Braunfels without some Chicken Express?
PJ loves her Aunt Sarah!
Last day in NB watching Ms. Packwood teach a little math.
While I was snacking on a Granzin's breakfast taco in the back! My favorite!
I love my Heather!
Back to Houston to some of Mom's Chicken and Dumplings!

Miles talking for us! Pathetic doggy.
Andi came to visit for Valentines Day! I'm so lucky!
Twinnies.
Seriously, the best chicken strips in the entire world!

A Willie's Rita? I don't remember the name, but it was sure good!

My own, farewell cinnamon rolls!
Back to Korea and I was already getting slept on by a Korean! They seriously pass out on any form of transportation.
So, that was a little "taste" of home (no pun intended)... I love being in Korea, but man it was hard to leave home. Thank you to everyone who was able to spend time with me, even with their busy work schedules. I love you all and will see you again, soon!
