Close to Home

This weekend was spent out and about, but close to home and with close friends...

Friday night, I went to the gym. For dinner, my co-worker Brittney made corn-flake baked chicken and potatoes. Tastey! We ate and watched some TV, but then I had call it a night... long week!

Saturday
In the morning, I got to Skype my mommy and daddy, as well as Eric and Belle... Good to see their faces again. MOM AND DAD HAVE DECIDED TO COME VISIT ME IN SEPTEMBER....I CAN'T WWWWAAAAIIIITTTT! :D !!! I'M ONLY A LITTLE EXCITED!
In the afternoon, I met up with my dear friend Nyeasha. We got some coffee and manicures! First salon manicure for me... ever, and it was only 8,000 won ( $7.50ish) ! We've decided that it will become a regular thing :)

Then, we went on a hike. It was a beautiful day and Dongtan conveniently has a mini-mountain in it's back yard.

^ Cute cat-tails! ^

^ Frozen pond ^

^ At the top of the "mountain" ^

^ Painted ceiling ^

^ The view ^

^ Walked down to show Nyeasha the community center and found an elephant head sticking out of the building :) ^

^ If you know me... you know I love horses... ^

^ After working up an appetite hiking, we went to Cafe Il Blue. It's so delicious and right next to my apartment. Nyeasha got the bagel sandwich (which I've had before and loved) and I got a pizza! Most pizza here isn't made with tomato sauce, but with cream cheese.

Then, Sunday... Adventure at it's finest! :D Haha... Nyeasha and I chose to try out a church in Osan. Well... we got VERY lost. Church started at 10:30 and we finally found the building two hours later! We did have fun though, laughed till we cried, and learned more about Korea, SO it turned out to be a rather successful day... :)

^ Shady part of Osan... Korea at it's finest. ^

^ The church we were trying to get to :( ^

^ Kebab and Coffee? Tasty?... ^

^ I loved this little machine! 300 won (30 cents) for yummy hot chocolate! ^

^ A little cup is filled with whatever goodness you choose (coffee, tea, hot cocoa)... all you have to do is open the door. ^

We continued on into Suwon for some shopping. For lunch, we ran into this cute little restaurant, Sorrento! ^

^ View from our table. ^

^ I had the Seafood Risotto, it was sooo, so good. It had shrimp, clams, muscles, squid, and some other "meat" I was unfamiliar with... ^

^ Nyeasha had the pasta bake. I tried some of hers and it was also delicious! ^

Cheers to another great weekend! Onto another week of school...
