I decided to make one of these for my family and friends that do not use Facebook. Also, for those you who wanted more details about my experiences.
Forgive me if my writing is choppy and ill composed... I did not graduate with an English degree! Science and math are more of my niche.
Come January 11th, I will have been in Korea for almost a month! It amazes me how fast time has gone by. I am happy to say that when I am surrounded with Koreans talking, it doesn't startled me anymore. I am quite used to the initial culture shocks... the terrifying taxi and bus rides, dinners at restaurants served family style, the live fish swimming in their tanks outside of stores waiting to be bought, the personal bubbles that do NOT exist in Korean culture (I have actually become quite good at shoving people), and the stares I receive for being a minority... Blonde hair and blue eyes are not common in these parts. I love it when children come up to me, pet my head, and say "golden hair". :)
I hope you enjoy the pictures and writings I post on this site. I will say that I miss Texas, shopping at HEB and Target, Oak Run, Oakwood, Kids Club, warmth, my family, my friends, and my dumb dog Belle... BUT I am so thrilled to have this opportunity. It has been amazing so far and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for me.
