Leaf Mountain

The weather has been perfect the past couple of weeks. The leaves have been the brightest shades of yellow, red, and orange. It's been stunning.  I'm really sad thinking about how it will all be over soon. Bring on the bitter cold! :( We recently had a couple "big" events at school. First, we had our Halloween party. Then, we went on a another field trip to King Jeongjo's tomb. I always love going there... despite it being a tomb and all... It's really peaceful and the landscape is lovely!

Well... here are the only pictures I took from Halloween party. I feel lame!

Elsa, Rapunzel, and Batman from Giraffe Class.
A witch, rabbit, Spiderman, vampire, ninja, and two Cinderella's from Elephant Class.
An added wizard.
If you happen to be curious... I was a seal.
Anyways, onto the field trip! I'll post other Halloween pictures if I find them...

Basically the entire day went like this: arrive, snack time, treasure hunt, LEAF FIGHT, tomb, take pictures, leave.

Julia running to tell me she found a treasure slip.

Treasure Hunt

Destroying Leaf Mountain
(that's what the kids called it)

Kat helping destroy leaf mountain (remember, I didn't name it).

So much joy!
Tobias... and other children trying to put leaves in my hair.
Teacher Daniel making a kid very happy.

I tell him no... but he never listens.

Seriously happy.

Tia.
Did this just melt your heart? ^^ SO CUTE!
Teacher Thomas and Luna.
Teacher Thomas chasing me with leaves... but all I managed to capture was his slightly maniacal face...

Texas Fever

This post was meant to round up these past months in Korea... but, I couldn't help but notice that it's full of Texans! Yeehaw! Some of you know that one of my sweet friends from university has recently come to Korea to teach at my school! It's been an exciting time catching up with her and showing her new things. We've also had the pleasure of spending time with another girl from our university and her new family! I love that even after spending twenty-two months here... everyday holds more adventures.

Taking Kat to the National Museum of Korea... the best piece there!
I finally met Jordin! She is Kat's friend and we landed in Korea around the same time. She's from Texas too!
Night out with Kat and Ashley! This is a lovely group of drinks :)
Checking out Grand Ol' Opry... fun times ;) Represent TxState!
Our ushering group had to say goodbye to Jin! :( I really hope you are doing well in army!
With Nicole and Julia <3
One of my favorites, Jason... his family left to live in China... I was so sad.
I've been teaching these guys for 18 months! I had to hand them over to Teacher Kat... bye SR4 Elephant!
Liezel and I decided to check out some fall foliage in Insadong. I love this.

We ended up by the president's house... we had no idea where we were walking!

We checked out an African coffee shop... a refreshing Cafe Latte from Queen Sheba.
Man, I really like this girl!
Sleep over weekend at Ashley's house! Baby Emma is the cutest thing ever!
Oldies bar in Ichon... I dig the disco balls!

All Teddy wants to do is bite us!

Don't worry Teddy, we love you anyways.
One of the BEST birthday presents ever. Just got it in the mail. Thank you Andi from the bottom of my heart!
