Jebudo

One wonderful October day off, some comrades set off to explore the little island of Jebudo on the west coast of Korea. We headed out late in the morning with one mission... to indulge ourselves with an unbelievable amount of seafood. When we got to Jebudo, we had a nice little walk along the beach. Afterwards, we stumbled into a mini amusement park where we rode the "Viking Ship". This wasn't the most brilliant idea considering half of us were car sick from the drive there. However, we survived and got to see an incredible view of beach from way up in the air. After the ride, we checked out a restaurant with a ton of lit up hearts on the front and trusted it for some great food. It sure was delicious. Feast!

Raw fish.
Things from the sea that I will never eat again!
Fantastic crab and noodle soup.

Perfect way to spend Hangul Day.

Happy Birthseok!

August and September have held some very special days for me and my friends. In late August, I had my birthday. My dear friend Liezel's birthday was the beginning of September. These past four days held the most treasured holiday in Korea, Chuseok. Every day was spent celebrating and remembering how good life can be!

Birthday dinner with co-workers. A chicken feast!
A Korean friend of mine went to Turkey and brought me back so many goodies! Delicious...
Getting ready to ride bikes along the Han :D

And we're off!
Wahhh! Look how cute Nicole is!
Picture time!

Time to cool off :D
Kelsey brings out the best in everybody :)

Chicken picnic along the river, yum!
After a long day of activites, we went to a hookha bar! I haven't been to one since I was in college.
Interesting band playing that night. However, there was something enduring about them :)

Liezel's Birthday dinner... South African food! Sooooo good!
Lamb chops, sausage, potatoes, slaw, and cooked spinach.
Danielle and Kelsey
Liezel and her old island buddies. Great people!
A flaming Springbokkie for Liezel. Awesome!
And she did a fantastic job putting out the fire!

Weee! Happy Birthday!
To start off the Chuseok holiday, a baseball game!
Doosan vs. SK... The Bears got whooped :( Oh well...
SK cheerleaders and their "yell leader"... He was pretty great.
My best buds in Korea!

Some beauties: Kelsey and Yelena! Hodong was distracted...
All smiles after the sun went down!
I can't wait to go to another game, very fun!
Chuseok day hike! Bukhansan is a popular place for Korean hikers.
A good day for some exercise!

Part of Uijeongbu.
It was smoggy for a sunny day, but still worth the hike!

What does Justin do when he gets to the top? He sleeps...

Woohhh! Well worth the pain :D
