Goodbye my students!

Welp, my third and final SLP Graduation took place at the end of last month. The kids practiced really hard for many weeks. I was asked to MC it again with my Korean supervisor, Robin. The ceremony used to be held in a church very close to our school. This year, we had to drive out to a large banquet-like hall outside of town. It was sooo much better. The scenery, layout, and location were perfect. We were even served lunch after the ceremony in the same building. I really had a great time with teachers, parents, and students this day. I won't forget it :D

Practicing for the grand finale. I teared up quite a few times during these rehearsals.
"I like your smile, I like your eyes. You and I belong together, you and I we're too good to be true..." The teachers found a lot of pleasure singing these creepy lyrics to each other :)

Teachers... and Justin... who we had to pick up before the ceremony. He was surprised to see all of us.
Dongtan I as seen from Dongtan II.
Getting ready.
After getting dressed in costumes.
Snack time!
Families.
First up, Giraffe and Jaguar classes.
Then, Alligator and Elephant classes.
And finally, the little cuties: Deer class.
Yes... I took selfies while we were speaking ;)
Robin and I did NOT plan on matching.
The finale!
Then the teachers made their way up.
Sooooo many pictures.
Congrats graduates! Teacher Daniel and his Alligator class.
My Elephant class.
They look so grown up! :(
My favorites, Giraffe Class.
I love this.
I want to keep them forever.
Successful day means time for lunch!
I asked Thomas to take a picture... then he just started taking selfies.
Teacher Katie and I. We made it!
Bibimbap lunch, yum yum!
Daniel, tongue! Ugh.
My boys :)
So handsome. And goofy.
I had a date... to a Kindergarten graduation ceremony. We suave.
After school meant celebratory churros! Kat is cute!
I'm so happy.
Then, there is this.
He's a softy on the inside though.
Graduation flowers from Tia and Eric.
Last stop, Koomas! Some kind of mollusk pasta...

Dates with babies and Kats...

I lurrrvvvv having friends from home here. We naturally get along because, let's face it... Texas is pretty stinkin awesome. Kat and I try to visit our friend Ashley, her husband, and her beautiful baby in Seoul as many times as possible. We love their pretty faces. To make it even more of a girl's weekend, Kat got us an adorable hotel room in Itaewon. Here we go!

Look at that little princess...
Wahhh.
The next Gerber baby everyone.
Let's go eat dinner!
The highlight of my day was my turn to push the baby.
Emma... say, "Kimchi!"
We gotta show Teddy some love too.
John, Ashley, and I decided to venture to the top of their building. It was their first time up there too :D

Oh, Seoul... sometimes, I REALLY like you...

Strawberries for desert :)
I'm gracing you with a picture of our hotel bathroom.
Heh hehhh.
So glorious! And really white...
We fell in love... with the bed.
Going out for the night in the BLACK elevator.
Our hotel lobby had giant, awesome swings.
Swing, swing, swing from the tangles of...
My heart is crushed by a former love...
Can you help me find a way to carry on again?
Man I have good looking friends.
(I hope everyone caught onto the All American Rejects lyrics above.)
Kat has fancy tastes.
For hotels with statues of Megatron.
And greyhounds.
We went out and just thought about that gigantic bed waiting for us.

Good morning Itaewon.

This was taken during the daytime. The hallways were super dark.

Going out for the day in the WHITE elevator.
Seriously, really fun hotel.
We went to the Flying Pan for brunch. To start off, Iced Canadian Maple Lattes! Delish.
Fresh toast with strawberries, orange glazed bacon, and feta cheese. Agh! Fantastic.
Oh man. Toast with sauteed mushrooms, a poached egg, and hummus. Greens, potato salad, and a tomato on the side.
The Flying Pan needs to advertise with this picture.
We were soooo happy. Great weekend.
