Kings Tomb

Sometimes, I love SLP field trips! Especially ones on beautiful fall days in gorgeous locations. Recently, we went on a trip to a grave site of a king from the Joseon Dynasty. The area had tons of different hiking paths and open places great for resting. After we saw the "tomb", we had a treasure hunt! The kids had to find two pieces of paper hidden among the leaves. Each piece of paper had a picture of a toy on it. Once they found two, they could claim their toys. After that, we had snack time. Then the teachers enjoyed running around in the trees playing chase with the kids. It was a good friend trip. Only two things went "wrong". First, one of my kiddos threw up in the bus on the way to the grounds. Second, I had to use my first "squatting" toilet. I was extremely proud of myself after that experience! :) Haha...

And we're off!

Strolling down the path with my baby girls.

Trouble following me...

Teacher Ashley nursing sick Dana :( (She's the one that threw up on the bus..)

Trail of students.
We made it!
Justin modeling in front of the grave.

Elephant Class and Teacher Ashley, she was great help!

My Iguana Class... the sun was too bright!

Waiting for instructions... looks like I don't agree with something :D

Andy and his finds.

Leah looking so cute!

Picking out some toys!
And to finish all up! Here is an adorable video of the kids finding their papers. I love the way Eric comes running up to me and Alex comes to show me his papers. Ugh... so cute. I watch this on bad days to remind myself how great I actually have it...

Hall-o-ween Par-tee!

Something SLP does right is Halloween! We draped the entire school in black and put up decorations everywhere. We even made a dance room and a haunted house! Sure... it was a A LOT of work on the teachers behalf (we were enticed with pizza and beer... ), but it was worth the look on my babies faces :)

Fall is here and the walk to school is beautiful!

One hallway...

And another...

Entrance

Sally as Snow White and Ariel as a Bride

Michelle as a Ballerina and Jun as Darth Vader

Emily as Rapunzel and Sophia as Cinderella

Grace as a Bride and Aden as Zorro (Aden's mom should really think more carefully about giving her son a sword!)

Jason as Lightning McQueen and Bella as Rapunzel... There were many redundancies with princess costumes!

This tutu was intense! It was stunning in person... and expensive I'm sure...

Candy time!

On the roof for the costume parade!

Iguana class insisted on sitting in the sun...

Throwing it down in a room full of Kindergarteners... that's how I roll!

Elephant class... four Cinderella's! My day is full of divas...

IN OTHER NEWS:

I was named Head Teacher at SLP. This means I'm sticking around for one more year :(, but I'm excited to see what new adventures it will bring! :)

This lovely lady is staying two more weeks (past her contract) with me! It's still not enough time with her... but I'll take what I can get. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. I'm so happy I at least got to spend a year with her. So many memories!

Love her! I will miss her dearly :(

The Tale of Two Weekends & A Day in Between

First Weekend.
Two weekends ago, Ny and I went into Seoul for the International Fireworks Festival. We made a day of it and ate brunch before-hand at Harris CafĂ© in Gangnam. It's an Australian inspired restaurant with amazing food! Feast your eyes.

Ny's Big Breakfast with French toast.

Iced coffee with vanilla ice cream.

Banana Bread

My Eggs Benedict :)

Sunset in Seoul

On the Han.

Thanks big brother Justin!

So they begin!

I promise there were more colors!

From a distance...

Here are more colors! Japan's show was definitely the best.

Yay for a fun night with friends!
In between.
Wednesday was Hangul Day. By celebrating the birth of the Korean alphabet, we were actually given a (rare) day off! Thanks King Sejong!

Caramel Frappuccino's in mason jars. Sooo much perfection in this picture.

Beautiful day in Dongtan.

After eating at Outback, we found a secretly hidden arcade! Ny making them hoops!

Then, there was this unreal guy dishing out DDR skills.

Then... we decided to act like little Korean school girls.

I love having people I can be this ridiculous with! :D
Second Weekend.
I joined the welcoming team at my church and have been steadily meeting more and more people. This sweet girl on my team actually invited me to her wedding! I was so honored! My 2nd Korean wedding! We had a great time :)

An outdoor wedding! I wasn't expecting it, but it was really beautiful with the back hill covered in flowers!

Both weddings I've been to, the groom sings the bride a song. I think it's really adorable. This guy impressed me :) Way to go YS!

Groom walking down.

Here comes the bride!

Beautiful EJ <3
Taking photos with Liezel!
I love this girl!
